Our Story.

Founded in 1981

Seagars was established in 1981 by Chris Seagar, who recognised the need for a truly independent valuation practice in Auckland. From the outset, the firm was built on the principles of independence, accuracy, and professionalism.

Over four decades later, those founding principles remain at the heart of everything we do. Today, Seagars is one of Auckland's largest and most respected independent valuation firms, with a team of highly qualified registered valuers operating from two offices across the city.

Our team holds memberships with the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV), the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). We are on the approved panel of all major New Zealand banks including ANZ, BNZ, Westpac, ASB, and Kiwibank.
