Independent from the start.

Seagars was founded in 1981 by Chris Seagar, who saw the need for a truly independent valuation practice in Auckland. Independent meant then what it means now - we don't sell property, we don't lend money, and we have no stake in the outcome. Our only job is getting the number right.

Four decades later, we're one of Auckland's largest independent valuation firms. Our team of 23 registered valuers works from two offices - the Auckland Office in the CBD and the Manukau Office in Highbrook - covering every property sector from residential through to specialist and litigation.

Qualifications and accreditations

Our valuers are qualified members of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV), the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Senior staff hold FNZIV and MRICS designations.

We're on the approved panel of every major New Zealand bank - ANZ, BNZ, Westpac, ASB, and Kiwibank. Our valuations are accepted by all major financial institutions.
